As the years go by, the festival gains momentum, its audience gets larger and the productions come flooding from all over Europe. Our devoted collaborators spend more time taking delivery of the films than searching for them. The British contribution this year has been particularly impressive and will no doubt leave its mark. As for the French, who have now brushed aside all prejudices, they follow hot on the heels of the British and have a few pleasant surprises in store for us. Now, of course, we cannot go through all the detailed contributions of our German, Dutch, Swedish and Norwegian friends, and of all the other European suspects, suffice it to say that they are of the highest standard too.
